Speaker 2:We are your hosts, Tyler and Jessica Braun. Today is going to be a really fun kind of short episode, but it's just. This is a game, and we've talked about it before. Well, we've played it once before, but it was early on in the podcast, history don't know.
Speaker 1:We've talked about it before. Well, we've played it once before, but it was early on in the podcast history, you know, a mere few years ago but this is basically the origin story of the podcast.
Speaker 2:We used to play this game, yep, in the car and then we would just whatever we ended up doing as our clue, which I'll explain in a minute. We would just end up talking about for a while and we were like this has got to be, we've got to do a podcast.
Speaker 1:This is what. Yeah, this is literally why we created this podcast, so we're going to do it again, introduce you guys to it.
Speaker 2:So, first of all, mug shots yes, okay, so we'll throw our mug shots up we've got for mine.
Speaker 1:I have a daisy duck one. I was trying to remember where I got this. I feel like it was at meyer or something it wasn't.
Speaker 2:I remember it was. It was at Meijer or something. It wasn't like at Disney. Oh, I remember where it was.
Speaker 1:It was at the airport, that's what it was, and I was like I just love it, the light purple with just Daisy Duck's big face on it. Maybe the simplicity of it made me so happy. And then on the other side it's got her little signature. I actually have an energy drink in there right now.
Speaker 2:Me as well, moi OC style disney mug. That makes me so happy and I know I've told the story of it before, but it looks like a mug that my dad would have had or something like growing up. It's just amazing, but we saw it at the airport and I was like I'm gonna buy this when we get to disney like in the actual disney store.
Speaker 2:Yeah upon arrival and I'm like, oh, if it's here, I'm sure I'll be able to find it. Looked forever the entire week we were there, every story went and couldn't find it. Went home so sad. Went back months later and they had it.
Speaker 1:I was so excited we snatched that thing up so fast. I was like should we buy two?
Speaker 2:yeah, I think you texted me and I was like buy five, it just it's so great, I love this it is truly like retro like it looks like you get the monorails too. Like an ad that like uh you would have seen, like on television, like I don't know it just made I don't know it's great, I love it you can hear the like weird warped sound yeah okay, okay, so explain how the game works all right.
Speaker 1:So this is 20 questions. We all know how to play 20 questions. You ask yes or no questions to the other person to try to guess what it is they're thinking of. Of course, this is with a disney tint to it, so we have played this many different ways. So what we're going to do is what you can think of something a place anywhere in Walt Disney World could be in a park, could be in a resort, whatever, and everything in between. Yeah. So our only stipulation is they have to be yes and no questions. It has to be within Walt Disney World and it's a place. That's it. It has to be a location or questions. It has to be within walt disney world and, yes, it's a place. That's it. It has to be a location or place, not a thing like you can't.
Speaker 1:It's not going to be a churro, yeah right, but it could be a ride or a certain part of the park that you stand and people watch in, or whatever, like it can be really, really specific, which ours are going from easiest to hardest here. So we're going to play this and you can kind of play along too and try to guess in your mind what you think one of us is thinking of, and of course, we will reveal the answer eventually.
Speaker 2:Well, and how this originally started is we literally would just be in the car and I'd be like the little gift shop in the contemporary in the back, the sundry shop that's like in the back corner, and then you'd be like, yeah, and then you would pick a random place and we would just talk about it. Yeah, it wasn't even like a game, it was just we were just weirdos, we would try and think of like the most obscure place in Disney World.
Speaker 1:That was the game we're really revealing just how weird our Disney love goes. So I know we're not alone.
Speaker 2:If you want to play that game, but it's hard to play that in a podcast, so we do it this way. Okay, so I think mine are laid out in easiest to hardest, but mine too, I feel like it always is the harder ones that you end up figuring out right away.
Speaker 1:I know. So yeah, I'm going to start with my easiest one. Do you want me to start guessing yours?
Speaker 2:No, I'll start guessing for you. Okay, okay.
Speaker 1:I've got it in my mind.

Speaker 1:Jeez, you're narrowing down fast.

Speaker 1:No, you used three questions, no I know, Is it?
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, you can count my questions.
Speaker 1:Yeah, no, I don't, is it? Oh yeah, you can count my questions.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, well, I feel like we just play until we get it. Okay, is it a fast ride?
Speaker 1:Medium. I know that's not yes or no, but it's hard to answer yes or no. Okay, well, I can at least rule, maybe a couple things out. Yeah.
Speaker 2:That are very obviously slow or very obviously fast. Yeah, yeah, is it on water?
Speaker 1:No, Does it go around the park?
Speaker 2:No, Is it an experience that a lot of people can do at one time? No, is it the Main Street vehicles?
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:You're going to laugh when you find out what it is man. I thought for sure I was gonna get that one. Is it okay, gosh?
Speaker 1:I think that would be a good one though is it astro orbiter?
Speaker 2:yes, that was it something that, yeah, it is kind of fast right, but it's not like space mountain.
Speaker 1:But then it's also we can not a lot of people can experience at the same time. You gotta wait, go up the cockroach elevator and then get on there. You ever been on the elevator?
Speaker 2:we always call it the cockroach elevator too, because they have, which is the only place in disney that it's not cleaned well the ceiling tiles. You can look up and there's always dead bugs, yeah, okay, but we also, though.
Speaker 1:I love the astro orbiter. It's so fun okay. Okay.
Speaker 2:Is it a? Also, we should just call this where am I? Like? That's what it should be like 20 questions. Where am I in Walt Disney World? Anyway, sorry, go ahead. These are inside thoughts. Go ahead.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we'll see what we end up titling this when am I Guess where?
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 1:Is it a ride?
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 1:Is it a restaurant?
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 1:Is it within a park?
Speaker 3:Yes.
Speaker 1:Okay, is it in Epcot? No, hollywood Studios, yes, okay, I'm used up so many questions. I don't know. Yeah, something like that. Okay, hollywood Studios, but it's not a ride or a restaurant and of course it's not a hotel. Okay, so then it's gotta be just like an area. Is it in Toy Story Land? No, is it within a themed area?
Speaker 2:Yeah, I mean no, everything is a themed area to some extent, but no, I will say no.
Speaker 1:Is it in a gift shop?
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 1:This is like. Is it the handprints area?
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 1:Am I getting close? Is it in Star Wars land? No, I guess that would be themed. I'm going to go over 20 questions. Okay, friends. Okay, there's a big category you're missing. I guess that would be themed. I'm going to go over 20 questions. Okay, friends, okay.

Speaker 1:I shouldn't help you, but so not gift shop, not ride, not restaurant and not within a themed land. Is it a show? Yes, okay, indiana Jones, yes, okay.
Speaker 2:I'm like what am I missing Indiana Jones, missing spectacular Yep Shows? You got to remember that one. I know that's a that was hard.
Speaker 1:Yeah, any of you guys get that, or were you thinking like it's probably a show?
Speaker 2:It's gotta be hard for them too, because they can't ask questions.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, you just gotta hear our questions. They're just yelling at us. They're, like, all of them, idiot.
Speaker 2:That's in a park.
Speaker 1:Yes. Is it a ride no. Is it a show? No. Is it a restaurant? No. Is it a gift?
Speaker 2:shop. Sometimes that might've given it away.
Speaker 1:I wonder if I can get it right from that. I feel like I can. I will be amazed if you do, but you totally could.
Speaker 2:What is sometimes a gift?
Speaker 1:shop. Do any of you guys know you haven't guessed the park yet, right?
Speaker 2:No, okay.
Speaker 1:So so okay.
Speaker 2:Is it in magic kingdom? No, okay, sometimes a gift shop. I feel like that's a big enough clue I should be able to get it, but I'll keep going. Is it in world showcase?
Speaker 1:no, but I had to think about it is it okay?
Speaker 2:yet another clue oh, is it the odyssey building?
Speaker 1:yes, so it's that building, if you don't know, that is now kind of used for like a festival pavilion. The baby care center is back in there, but it's kind of before you would get to world showcase on the far left side if you're facing towards heading into world showcase.
Speaker 2:It was a restaurant for a while and then it was used as like a rental space for different like people had their prom in there and yeah, yeah, maybe they, yeah, yeah, maybe they still do, right now it's a Muppets barbecue or something it's like that, or did I make that up?
Speaker 1:I think you're thinking of Regal Eagle.
Speaker 2:No, I feel like there anyway there is a Muppets barbecue but no, it was like the Muppets brew wing ladder.
Speaker 1:Oh, that's what I mean. It's kind of like Festival Pavilion. They've sometimes sell food back there.
Speaker 2:It's a flex building. Yeah, basically, okay, got mine.
Speaker 1:Is it in a park?
Speaker 2:Wait, I already forgot. Okay, Got it.
Speaker 1:Is it in a park? No. Is it in a resort? Yes, okay. Is it in a monorail resort? Yes. Is it in Grand Floridian? No, contemporary, yes, okay, so it's in the contemporary. Is it inside? Yes, okay, so it's in the contemporary. Is it inside?

Speaker 1:Okay, is it the ballroom you mentioned in the last episode? No, no.
Speaker 2:Okay. Is it a restaurant? Yes, For all intents and purposes. Yes.

Speaker 1:That was a waste because there's only one. It's kind of a restaurant. Why would you say that? Why would you say that? Is it a restaurant? What? Why would you say that? What do you? Why would you say that? Is it a restaurant? No, what you just said yes, you can't change it. What is it a restaurant? What is this? You can't you know? Is it like a some? I'm gonna die when I hear this, you know it, it's joffreys?
Speaker 1:they're that like weird little kiosk down on the. Is that even a joffreys? I don't even know um is it? Is it contempo cafe? Dare to guess that? No crap. Is that california grill?
Speaker 2:no, the wave, nope, 1923, or wait what's also the way it doesn't exist anymore what's that's it?

Speaker 1:Oh I'm thinking of the cruise ships. Steakhouse 71 I was close it was a california grill? No, chef mickey's. Nope, is it like the pool bar? I thought you were whistling a hint at me nope, is it the sundry shop, like we're at the contemporary? It's, yes, a restaurant, kind of what, and it's not quick service.
Speaker 2:You're going to die when you know what it is. Room service Nope, I like that though.
Speaker 1:No, it's not the gift shops.
Speaker 2:Would you like a hint? Not the little sundry shop. Well, yeah, it is in the Grand Canyon Concourse, outer rim. Yep, specifically at a table by the window overlooking bay lake. Yes, so it's a bar and I think they have.
Speaker 1:Like you can order food there but it's mostly okay, I can understand your yes, no I think they have appetizers and stuff like you might be able to actually order food.
Speaker 2:I'm not even sure.
Speaker 1:We usually just go and we'll just hang out and get a drink, maybe, and look out over I feel like we've gotten stuff at contempo cafe and because we'll have like the kids with us and have snacks or whatever, although, yeah, I feel like we've gotten stuff at Contempo Cafe and walked over there. Yeah, because we'll have, like, the kids with us and have snacks or whatever. Although, yeah, I feel like during the day they'll let families in there. They don't care. Anyway, wow, that should not have actually been that hard for me and it was.
Speaker 2:Is it in a park? Yes, okay. Is it in Animal Kingdom? Yes, okay. Is it a ride?
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 2:Is it a restaurant? No. Is it a show? Is it the tree of life, bug's life? No. Is it the flotillas?
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:Okay, it is kind of a show, so not like Finding Nemo or Lion King, because I would say those are real shows. Right, is it the bird adventure?
Speaker 1:No, birds scare me, so not the biggest fan of that. It's birds flying at my face. That I don't like okay.
Speaker 2:Fair. Fair, Is it in Pandora?
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 2:Is it in Dinoland?
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:Is it in Discovery Island?
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:Africa no. Do you in Discovery Island? No Africa no. Do you know?
Speaker 1:Yeah, is it in Asia?
Speaker 2:Kind of Is it divine?
Speaker 1:No, that would have been a great, that would have been a good one. It's that person that dresses as like vines.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:And they'll like hide in the bushes and randomly move, and they're like on stilts, I think. It's so cool when you spot her.

Speaker 1:Is there music there? Used to be okay um, is there?
Speaker 2:music there used to be. Okay, that threw me off even more than I thought it was going to.
Speaker 1:There used to be music there. There also used to be a show there. That's the hint.
Speaker 2:Oh, the theater. That's just a big open empty theater. Now the theater. What are they not?
Speaker 1:Theater of the Stars. What are they called Theater of? The what used to be river lights or whatever it's called rivers of light slash also kite tails, also jungle book alive with magic.
Speaker 2:My favorite was still kite tails.
Speaker 1:Um, anyway, that was it. It was the theater that used to house kite tails.
Speaker 2:Woo okay, I love it. Oh okay, uh. Oh, I got a couple good here. We're running out of time. Jessica has an appointment. That's why this is going to be a shorter episode.

Speaker 1:Okay, is it Polynesian? Yes, is it outside, no. Okay, is it a restaurant? No gift shop, no bar? No, I've learned, but it's inside. You said okay, is it the staircase you love?
Speaker 2:on the side. So if you don't know, I have a favorite staircase in Disney. It's the one like right outside of like. It takes you from the main lobby upstairs. I love that staircase so much.
Speaker 1:It's my favorite staircase. It looks like a 1970s staircase.
Speaker 2:It's covered in brown carpet and it just is amazing. It's my favorite staircase.
Speaker 1:You really like the 70s man.
Speaker 2:I really like that staircase.
Speaker 1:You're going to laugh whenever you guys go to it.
Speaker 2:You'll be like why in the world?
Speaker 1:And there is no reason.
Speaker 2:It just makes me g1s you would talk about like, oh, I wish I were there, walking on that stair, it's like near the restrooms. Yeah, by ohana, if you like. If you go around the gift shop, like over where you would go to captain cook's, like down that hallway, but it's before you get to that there's a staircase that takes you right upstairs to ohana. It's my favorite staircase in all of old disney world. If you ever really want to make me happy if you're there, take a picture and send it honestly on tyler's favorite staircase who's been around since we talked about the brown poop wall?
Speaker 2:Oh my gosh, that was a million years ago.
Speaker 1:You know, you know that was pre-kids, yeah, and then we took fresh ones with kids.

Speaker 1:Is it? Is it in main street? It is specific. No adventure land. Let me rephrase I understand your question. Is it in one specific area of the park? No, it is a specific location, but it is not within a specific land. Again, that might have actually just given it away it's a cinderella castle.
Speaker 2:No um, does it move around? No is it a trash can?
Speaker 1:no, is it the? Main entrance no, you're gonna love this okay can you interact with it?
Speaker 2:I mean in in theory is it made to be like something you interact with? No, no, okay, you would use this area, though, from time to time is it the walkway, the weird walkway in between, like by the tron area? Yeah, yeah, that's exactly what it is Between.

Speaker 1:The Storybook Circus area. I basically said Toontown and which it's not, but yeah, I couldn't think of Storybook Circus. That's it. It's that walkway and it used to be and maybe it still is like a Smoker's. No, it's not anymore. Long ago.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we used to take that shortcut back there and it was yeah.

Speaker 2:Yes, okay, no Ride, no Show, no Okay. General area no Gift shop. It is in a gift shop.
Speaker 1:Okay, is it the Troll in Norway? No, okay, it's a good one, though. Is it the Cuckoo Clocks in Germany?
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 1:I'm trying to think of things we've talked about that we really like looking at.
Speaker 3:It's in a gift shop, mm gift shop okay, is it closer if I were to go to the left?
Speaker 1:to enter world showcase. Okay, that was. I'm gonna pat myself on the back for that. Okay, is it the little bar cart in canada that's in the gift shop?
Speaker 2:it's so weird yeah, they added that a couple years yeah, yeah nope okay, is it in the uk?
Speaker 1:yes, is it the little area with the swords that you love?
Speaker 2:I'm going to buy a sword at some point. I will buy a sword. I don't know what I'm going to do with it, but I will buy a sword there at some point.
Speaker 1:That is kind of cool to look at all those things. Okay, that was a good one, all right, good luck with this one. You already know mine's in a park, so yeah, okay.
Speaker 2:Is it in animal kingdom? No, is it in galaxy's edge? No is it elsewhere in the park? Okay, is it a ride? No show no is it the citizens of hollywood? No uh, so it is it kind of a show no, it's not.
Speaker 1:I'm gonna just say it's not.
Speaker 2:Okay, is'm going to just say it's not Okay? Is there music involved?
Speaker 1:You would hear music from this place.
Speaker 2:Is it just Sunset Boulevard? No, okay, is it on Sunset Boulevard? No, is it no? Is it the Disney Vacation Club kiosk?
Speaker 1:No, but I love that guess.
Speaker 2:Okay, and you said it's not a restaurant right Right Kind restaurant right right kind of on sunset boulevard it's not does it move around?
Speaker 1:I mean technically it could, but it doesn't typically it's a pretty big clue. I love that we're like the rules are only yes or no questions and I just give so much info okay is it can move around but doesn't.
Speaker 2:So it's not a stationary object like the thing that and again, it's not a thing necessarily right it's representing, like being at that spot there's a general category you haven't guessed. That might help you gift shop yes I thought I did I not miss that no, you didn't, oh okay okay, yes, I thought technically okay, gift shop like a bubble cart bubble one specific the bubble wand cart on sunset it's not on sunset boulevard trying to think what other we?
Speaker 1:have purchased things for the girls at this specific one. Numerous times actually. We always get suckered in is it like the one at the top of phantasmic yep okay we have always gotten suckered in to buy some light up dumb thing that honestly they are fun and we still have them, but at phantasmic. It's so exciting. It's a good one.
Speaker 2:They're always so excited all right, I'll do one more, maybe. Maybe we can each do one more okay here we go, okay is it in a park?
Speaker 1:I've never guessed this, not in a million years park no resort no monorail, no sky rent liner no um mini golf no water park. No off-site hotels. Mm-mm, okay, it's on property Disney Springs. No, oh, I forgot about Disney Springs. In this too, it's on property, but it's not a park, it's not a resort. No, that McDonald's no. The car care center no. The doggy place no.
Speaker 2:Good guesses though.
Speaker 1:Is it just the drive-in through on the interstates, i-4 or something? Airport, no, the car rental place. Did I already say that?
Speaker 2:You did and no.
Speaker 1:Well, give me another hint.
Speaker 2:I would just give it a hint.
Speaker 1:Okay, okay, I'm trying to think it's not Disney transportation.
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 1:Okay, is it on water? Yes, okay, is it the TTC boats?
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 1:Is it involved in TTC?
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 1:Okay, is it the boats? Does it go on Bay Lake?
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 1:Does it go on Seven Seas Lagoon? No, the friendship boats. Does it go in front of the Magic Kingdom?
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 1:Okay, the boats to disney springs what's that called? Um, I don't know. They're the ones that go from like old key west saratoga, and they're not called friendship boats no, I think the friendship boats are the ones that go between epcot.
Speaker 2:Yeah, um they might be called friendship boats, but I don't but it is the ones to disney springs.
Speaker 1:I can't remember what those are called.
Speaker 2:Oh, the amphibicars no, okay, and it's not the vessel itself, it's the.
Speaker 1:The area you wait for the boats.
Speaker 2:No.
Speaker 1:Is it the boat itself?
Speaker 2:No, it's not the actual physical transport itself.
Speaker 1:The waterway that's in front of that, not Echo Lake, not Hourglass Lake, not.
Speaker 3:You know it.
Speaker 1:I know the name of the waterway by Disney Springs. It's not Sasagagula river right yeah, it is the sasagula.
Speaker 2:Does that get all the way down? It goes. It goes from port arlenes, that's it, okay, and all that all the way to disney springs. So the sasagula river, that was.
Speaker 1:That was a great one. That's a good one to end on. That was a great one.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that was a toughie that was tough so the only just out of just to see I had a couple others written down. I had the, the perfume shop in france, and then, oh, this was gonna be okay I had two really kind of tough ones.
Speaker 2:Um, the long queue in front of the dinosaur ride that has all of the like fossils and fossils, but then like the, the statues of all the different dinosaurs, but they almost never have it open because it's never very long. I bet it might be right before it closes, um, but there's like an outdoor queue area, oh.
Speaker 2:I don't even think I've ever seen that, yeah, you normally walk right up to the front of the building, but there is an outdoor area and then the.
